We met!

Over the weekend, we held our first in-person peer support event. It’s an honour to be able to bring people together, who were brought up being told they’d never meet someone similar because they were rare and alone.

Individuals with different variations coming together. We had collective healing, exploring our identities, creating space for discussion and understanding; there are so many ways in which this first (of hopefully many) gathering felt like a homecoming.

We would like to thank all participants for mutual kindness, empathy and respect.

We are also very grateful to our funders : National Lottery Community Fund, Astraea Foundation. Thanks to the generous support of this initiative we were able to cover costs of accommodation, catering as well as reimburse the majority of travels costs. We also thank Equality Network, which funded travel of participants from Scotland.
